9 to 5 is a playful animation that captures office life through everyday desk items. Using objects like pens, pencils, paper clips, pins, post-it notes, staplers, keyboards, mice, scissors, and lamps, the film mirrors the routines, small triumphs, and quiet stresses of a typical 9-to-5 job. From managing tasks and staying organised to holding it together under pressure, each item takes on a life of its own, expressing humor, tension, and resilience in an office environment.
Achieving the delicate sonic realism of office life demanded a ground-up approach. All stationery sound effects were produced via dedicated, bespoke foley recording sessions, as the nuance required was beyond what library assets could provide.
