Working alongside a producer from Alpha Grid, I delivered audio post-production for multiple podcast audio episodes for the Financial Times Big Deal. In the covid 19 world, all audio interviews were captured remotely and delivered to me for audio clean up; processing and editing into the final script for the podcast.
The audio source recordings were in good shape but improvements were made using iZotope RX 8 advanced to further reduce room echo; background noise, de-essing for sibilance control and restoration of the loss of spectral content from being voice over IP recordings. The editing stage removes a modest amount of unnecessary word pauses and clutter to improve the flow of conversion, without cutting too much making it too sterile.
