In its third year, Grue relocated to Scarborough Library's top floor. Built entirely from recycled and repurposed materials by the community, it's a fantastical world crafted from recycled paper and positive energy. A wandering labyrinth of rooms awaits exploration, filled with wonders to discover. New for this year, live actors help guide the audience through the immersive experience.
The installation features three distinct soundscapes, meticulously designed to create a sonic journey. The experience begins with a nocturnal soundscape, transitions to a lush jungle atmosphere, and culminates with a giant spinning sea serpent. Careful consideration was given to ensure these diverse compositions share a similar scale and key, creating a harmonious soundscape that minimizes unwanted dissonance between rooms.
