Get Rolling is a video channel showcasing Portuguese inline skaters.
The musicial elements created were rooted in classic skating hip hop culture but with a darker and more modern twist.
The musicial elements created were rooted in classic skating hip hop culture but with a darker and more modern twist.
The visuals reflect the era of 80’s VHS analogue nostalgia, but musically the direction was to contrast this older aesthetic, rather than reinforce it. Vinyl sample turntable scratching completes the music with a vocal hook.
The sound design enhances the VHS style lo-fi visual distortion and noise using white noise, lightning, hiss and crackles.
