I was invited to collaborate on this exciting opportunity. Being a northerner from Scarborough, this seemed a great way to showcase the incredible talent that the north has across counties.
I was invited to collaborate on this exciting opportunity. Being a northerner from Scarborough, this seemed a great way to showcase the incredible talent that the north has across counties.
The animation kicks off with a short musical intro setting the scene. The game officially starts once the cartridge is loaded into the console. A combination of classic 8-bit synth waveforms and various modern synths make up the music. This was composed in a way that was positive, rhythmic and contemporary.

The SFX, like the music uses a combination of 8-bit retro sounds mixed with high-quality full resolution field recordings. This way the video game audio aesthetic was achieved but also with a realistic depth to strengthen the quality.
