A Place To Call Home: Ali's Story

This is the story of Ali, a Syrian boy whose family, like millions of others, have been displaced by a devastating 11 year war.

Syria Relief and Action for Humanity are helping to build new homes, new villages, and new communities for thousands of people like Ali and his family.

The second animation for Syria Relief, was approached by working on the musical draft and then adding sound design. Middle eastern instrumentation and scales along with more conventional ones, help keep the music style relevant to the culture. The arrangement follows the three-act structure; beginning, middle and end. Each becoming more positive and reflecting the hope and good work of the charity.

Sound design includes lots of environmental and field recordings to bring the actions and scenes alive, all mixed down for the final version with a strong performance from the voice over talent.
