Over the last 10 years, Syria Relief and other organisations have been on the ground delivering emergency aid, addressing humanitarian needs, supporting healthcare, education, and livelihoods for millions of people in need.

Families urgently need food, shelter, and water. Orphans urgently need support. The people of Syria still need your help! Donate now!

The audio approach began with sound design to establish the sonic narrative of the story - a young Syrian boy growing up in a dangerous, war-torn country. This was sketched out scene by scene until the actions of the events felt real and detailed enough.

Next, the musical elements were created remaining minimal but authentic; a music score that taps into the strong and traumatic emotions the boy and his family are experiencing whilst leaving space for sound design. Using a range of middle eastern instruments helped keep the music style relevant to the culture. These included a Shakuhachi, Koto, Yalli Tambur, Duduk, Qanun, and an Eastern Dulcimer.
